WSJ on Mormon Contributions to Proposition 8

chanson, September 20, 2008

Jim Garlow, pastor of the evangelical Protestant Skyline Church near San Diego and a leading supporter of Proposition 8, said, “I would not, in all candor, have been meeting them or talking with them had it not been for” the marriage campaign. Rev. Garlow said he had developed a “friendship” with the Mormons he met, although he feels the theological differences remain “unbridgeable.”

I guess it’s a good thing that Garlow has Mormon friends.

On the other hand, Garlow’s co-religionists do have a record of discriminating against Mormons and infringing on our rights to exercise our religion freely.

Usually, the ACLU rides to the rescue. May be, we need to reconsider our true friends.

How do you post on WSJ, Chino? Do you have to register with the paper or do they demand a subscription?
