Yay, it’s time to vote!!! Thanks for all of the great nominations — we have got a great crop this year!! And I thought it was going to be a slow year! Thanks especially to all of those who indulged my last-minute request for poems! Year-long awards for people and…
We have some really fantastic nominations for the Brodie Awards so far β thanks to everyone who has nominated! And donβt forget that the voting for X-Mormon of the year will continue here until Thursday, January 12, 2016. This post is my first pass at collecting the nominations (and adding…
Todd just found a youtube video of the documentary Legacies about the treatment of Mormon gays by their church: Spencer Kimball’s attitudes about sexuality, unfortunately, can only be characterized as superstition. In the Mormon case, superstition is intertwined with claims to personal revelation. The latter is defined such that the…
Sorry about the masthead issue. I was sent a new masthead and tried to get it working, but apparently the file was corrupt. I tested it on Google Chrome, and Chrome rendered it despite it being corrupt. Firefox didn’t. So, until I get a non-corrupted version back, the old masthead is back.
Seems like he’s pretty busy giving interviews since winning the USC Libraries Scripter Award. If we don’t hear anything soon, I’ll go ahead and write up the press release.

Otherwise, grab it! π
His books are on my list now.
Nice masthead! The younger Mr Kirn looks like Kevin Bacon. I wonder how many degrees that is.
Did Walter Kirn abandon us once he was covered in glory from his award? Where’s the acceptance speech?
He’ll probably come back once the newspapers cover this story! π
